I love how potato in French is pomme de terre, which pretty much means “earth apple.”

I hate how the word “maitre” sounds (in general), so I’m a little sad that they have to say it a lot. Hahaha!
I really like the dub, though, and I wish the English DVDs included the French language track.

My attitude before was that I could only practice writing in French by making atrocious fiction and talking on Skype with les francophones. But what if I made blog posts in French, too? I would eventually attract French-speakers, native or otherwise.

But also, I keep seeing “walla!” and have even seen it in published media, wtf. It’s supposed to be voila, the French word. It’s driving me nuts that I keep seeing it spelled like in this image.

I always thought it was translated from French originally, but the internet informs me I’m wrong. That sucks, though. If it were in French, I’d be happy to translate raws if someone had them. :U
